Shirt Sourcing from Bangladesh: A Specification Checklist for Buyers
A shirt’s quality shows in its collar, cuffs, seams and fit. Defining these details before requesting quotations helps buyers compare suitable sourcing options.

1. Define fabric composition and construction
Share your intended use, preferred fibre blend, fabric construction, weight and finish. A reference sample can help communicate the handle you want. Confirm colour references and any testing requirements before sampling.
2. Agree fit, measurements and sizes
Provide a measurement chart, size range, tolerances and quantity by size. For a retail collection or corporate uniform, check the sample against the intended wearer and use before approving bulk production.
3. Specify collars, cuffs, buttons and seams
Include collar shape, interlining preference, cuff style, button details and stitching requirements in your tech pack. These choices affect appearance, construction and costing.
4. Plan branding and packaging
Identify label artwork, embroidery or printing, hangtags, packaging and destination-market requirements. Use artwork you own or have permission to reproduce, and confirm placement on the sample.
5. Compare quotations on the same basis
Share your target quantity, cost and delivery date. Compare quotations against the same fabric, trims, branding and packing requirements. Clarify shipping terms, inspection scope and payment arrangements before ordering.
